The Spy Chapter I – Part IV Cesar looked Simone sleeping. A smile showed what he thought about her: she was beautiful. She was the woman of his life. She was why he existed. She was… Simone. While he looked her, she opened her eyes slowly. He kissed her: “Good morning, honey…” “What time is it?”, she asked, smiling. He looked his clock: “It’s late. Past 2 pm.” “Past 2 pm....” “Considering which time we slept yesterday, we are waking up early.” He answered, hugging her. “It’s necessary just one weekend to turn my put my brain confused about time…” “Is that so bad?” “Sometimes, it is… Monday I need to work…” “Now I think I’m a monster…” “No, don’t think you are bad…” “I think, ‘cause I’m disturbing your brain and I intend to disturb it more and more…” “What?” He opened a drawer and took a little box, with a wedding ring: “I want you to marry me.” Simone smiled. She had no idea about what to answer. She had no Idea about what to think. She had no idea how to say no… “Cesar?” “We don’t need to marry now, all right? So don’t feel scared, we’ll get married when you think it’s the right time. But… I’ve thought that we are together for so long and I concluded that one of my New Year resolutions is to ask you to marry me…” “I… I…” Simone thought about answering no. She had that obligation! But she had no courage to do that: “I accept.” He smiled and kissed her. And, for some seconds, she did not regret her decision. (21012012) | ||||||
