| The Spy Chapter 4 – Part III Alex was walking through the street. He had given himself the right to have a little time to stay distracted. Not for too long – just a few minutes. The enough to listen to birds singing. Just because it was a day to celebrate. At first, he celebrated that he was in mission at Coneva for a whole year. A year extremely productive, he had to say. He had sent very important information to his headquarter, in Sardenha. More than this: his country had clear advantage in that war. Local newspapers did not show that information, but he had it – he had the better information about the war that someone would like to have: his headquarter and Agatha. The owner of the inn’s daughter was discreet in her talkies. As a civilian working with militaries, she knew she could not talk a lot about what she knew. But it had things that she could not hide – she was not prepared to ignore her feelings. Alex, as a spy, had been trained to identify those things. And to use them. It was exactly what he was doing. But that day he would also celebrate another thing: the success of his last mission. He had found many different enemies address in the battle camp. A little and valuable information, the one every spy would like to find. And, now, he had found. His country had found. Finding that data would obviously give his country a huge advantage. That was enough excuse to Alex celebrates. Even though, while he was walking through those streets, he felt a bad feeling: he liked many of those things, and would miss them when he returned to his house, when his country won that war. Those feelings, however, would not bring him anywhere. He was not there to feel sorry for his enemies. No, he was not. He would keep doing his job – and would help his country to win that war.
