| The Spy Chapter 3 - Part V Simone entered in the church. She was smiling, but felt bad. She wanted to do that, she wanted to marry Cesar… but she did not want, definitively. She could not see the man with whom she had had so many good moments go to the war, but… she could not imagine the rest of her life with him. She walked the first meter. They have invited few people. Some friends. Cesar’s family. She tried to find her sister, but it was not a surprise she was not there. Who she wanted to convice? She and Luiza almost never talked, were not friends, and would not be friends now. And obviously her sister would criticize her excuses to marry. She walded a little bit more. All that Simone did not need was another person to say her she was wrong, that she should not do that. She knew it. While everybody smiled, happy for her wedding, she smiled thinking in what she was doing – how that marriage would be a disaster to her life. She knew she was wrong. She knew she should not do that. She knew that Cesar’s life depended of her. Last meters. Cesar smiled to her, in the same way just him knew how to smile, and take her hand, took her to the altar. It was the point of no return. She had no choices anymore. But that smile showed her that it would be a good action. Save that smile would be the most important act in her whole life. (28042013) | ||||||
