It was Cesar’s birthday. And Simone had promised herself: she would maintain herself calm. She hated her mother? Of course! But... if she loved that man, she had to learn how to live with her mother. Or she had to break with him. Which of those option where the most reasonable she had no idea. But in that day, she would just be there and stay with his mother in the best way that was possible. That day as long and boring. Dorothy had used her time to show how she loved her beautiful son. And how no woman in that planet would love him the same she did. Simone, seeing what she was doing, just laughed, as it was a great joke. But at the same time she looked at the clock and asked herself when that day would be over. So, Dorothy called her son: “Cesar, my dear, may I watch my soap opera?” “Mom…” “I’ll watch it while I wash the dish and you both flirt a little bit…” “Mrs. Dorothy…” Simone said: “Don’t talk like this…” “Don’t be shy, my dear, I know that you both are crazy to stay some time together. I’ll watch television while I wash the dish and you do it…” “I’ll wash the dish when you leave, mom…” Cesar said. “No, today is your birthday.” So Dorothy went to the kitchen. Simone looked to Cesar: “Are you accepting it? It’s not fair she washing the dish, we should go there and help her!” “I don’t think we can do anything in this case: he decided we should flirt a little bit… and I think we need do it…” “What do you have in your mind?” “You know.” Cesar kissed Simone, who thought: that day could finish fine. To do this, she would ignore that his mother was there, a few meters of distance. No: she would just accept to do what the man she loved wanted to do. Even knowing that she was not sure about what she felt for him. At the same time, Dorothy had started to wash the dish. And, just to check what they were talking about, she turned down the television sound when the soap opera was passing the commercial.
