Simone looked the newspaper. In those days, it had just one subject: the war. The war, the war… war. She hated that war, she knew it. She hated it because she knew what a war meant and because it could occur many other things she was not able to know. Crisis, panic, destruction, death… she had never seen a war happening in her country, but she knew it could not be good. With her it was César. He was eating his breakfast. He was calm, as if nothing was happening.
