The Spy Chapter 2 – Part X Alex looked those people without understand very well what was going on. Maybe he was so saturated about deaths that he was unable to feel bad when he listened about one, even when the death was from some close person. Yes, it was his job being a cold spy, but who pretended he was concerned about everything. And, if he was concerned, he had to go to the funeral of the owner of the inn’s cousin. Was he an enemy? Yes, he was. But no one there knew it. And it was his obligation to pretend he was concerned. The idea of being among militaries was disturbing. The dead was a military, and would have a funeral like one. That would explain the general that was there, as well as other officials, with smaller patents. Alex looked everybody, and asked himself if any of them would have enough experience to know who he was, and that he was a trouble to them. Honestly he doubted that, but he also felt disturbed about that thought. “Thank you for coming.”, a sad voice said. It was Agatha. “It was my obligation to come.” He answered, in a polite way. “No, it wasn’t. You don’t even know my cousin, you’re only my mother’s guest.” “Your mother is a mother to me, and I’m sure everybody else in that inn thinks the same. That’s why all of us are here now.” “Anyway, thank you very much.” Alex smiled and hugged Agatha: “Don’t worry about it.” So the girl cryied in Alex arms. That made Alex felt the worst man in the world, pretending to worry about something he really did not care about. As soon as he could, he leaved Agatha. He could not care that much. That was a war. He had been trained to find all possible information that could be used against that country. He would pretend, yes, as much as possible. He would pretend when it was necessary. He would pretend until his country won the war. After that, he knew, he would not feel bad anymore about pretending… (18092012) | ||||||
